Guess which fragrance is celebrating a very special birthday?
Why are birthdays and anniversaries in the fragrance industry so important? It’s because they are so rare. With more than 1,200 new fragrances launching worldwide each year, competition for space in retail stores and even online is fierce. In many beauty stores, brands must remove one old fragrance if they want to launch a new one. That is because the store planograms are completely full. All the shelves an display units are packed with designer fragrances for him and her. There just isn’t any more room. (More than a few beauty companies have suggested retailers build additions to house the new launches.)
With this in mind, it isn’t surprising to learn that less than 5% of new fragrances make it to the ten-year mark. In some countries, it is more like 3%. A perfume has to be exceptionally special to last a full decade. The ingredients and formula have to be good and the packaging needs to stand out.
We’re delighted to announce that Versace Bright Crystal Absolu is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Following the success of Bright Crystal, Donatella Versace wanted to create a version of the award-winning floral scent for her with enhanced intensity and longevity, a vibrant perfume full of love.
Happy 10th Birthday Versace Bright Crystal Absolu
Master perfumer Alberto Morillas, who blended the original Bright Crystal, returned to reimagine the composition for Absolu. He enriches it more intense notes of yuzu, pomegranate, raspberry, amber and musk. You’ll notice he emphasizes the peony and magnolia accords giving this version a sexier character.
Fragrance Description: Versace Bright Crystal Absolu is an intense fruity-floral scent for her created by Master perfumer Alberto Morillas. With the worldwide success of the original, Morillas set out to create a longer-lasting, stronger interpretation of the original by boosting the peony, raspberry and amber notes. It’s the ideal Versace party scent.
