This week, we’ve handpicked the award-winning Versace Eros eau de toilette 50 ml to give away to one lucky Scent Lodge newsletter subscriber.
Versace Eros is a fresh citrus-woody scent that has won numerous awards around the world. It’s a top 10 men’s scent in countries around the globe appealing to guys of all backgrounds, styles and ages. The scent blends notes of mint oil, green apple, Italian lemon, tonka bean (smells like vanilla), ambroxan, geranium flower, Atlas Cedar, Madagascar vanilla and oakmoss. It was created by perfumer Aurelien Guichard.
You can see Donatella Versace’s attention to detail on the bottle. The heavy glass flacon features the medusa emblem and the greek key design. Donatella chose this shade of blue to reflect the Mediterranean Sea. Even the cap features a gold Medusa detail. It’s the perfect Father’s Day gift.

March 15, 2022 at 10:45 amI love a great design bottle and would purchase based on design. It may not be a regular used perfume but I would buy for the display and keep . If I loved a fragrance in a boring bottle I would still buy to use but it wouldn’t be something I would like to display on my dresser @daniela27

March 15, 2022 at 10:41 amI enjoy the look of a good fragrance bottle but after advice from Dave, that fragrance lasts better kept in their boxes, that’s what I now do. Can’t explain how good it is to get such great advice all the time. Thank you! 🥰

March 15, 2022 at 10:19 amI definitely care mostly about the scent, but having a beautiful bottle on the counter is a bonus!

March 15, 2022 at 10:16 amI think we’re all drawn to a nice design & favourite colours but what’s in it is far more important

March 15, 2022 at 10:13 amI tend to go for a fragrance more if I am attracted to the design of the bottle, but essentially it is the fragrance itself that is the deciding factor.

March 15, 2022 at 9:41 amI try not to judge a book by it’s cover, but when it comes to fragrance, the packaging is often part of the story. This Versace Eros EDT bottle is so Greek looking. I’m expecting to smell mint & lemon! @SarahPatricia77 on Twitter

March 15, 2022 at 9:40 amI appreciate the design of perfume bottles. If it’s a piece of artwork, I keep the bottle long after the perfume is gone. However, if I don’t enjoy the scent, I don’t purchase the perfume.

March 15, 2022 at 9:38 amA nicely designed bottle is just a bonus, as the scent is what matters most!

March 15, 2022 at 9:35 amIt doesn’t matter at all to me as it’s the scent that’s most important. But I do enjoy the bonus of a cute bottle design.

March 15, 2022 at 9:06 amI’m more about the fragrance and not so much about the packaging or design.

March 15, 2022 at 9:03 amSome of the over-the-top bottles and the cost and time put into them, makes me wary of buying because I feel the cheapest thing in it is the scent itself. The company has to recoup the bottle cost in overinflated price. It may be fun to look at for awhile, then I feel it’s something ‘trendy’ I fell for. Design is nice, it catches your eye to try, it’s marketing. Packaging I throw out. I don’t collect bottles, I acquire scents, the bottle becomes invisible 🙂 @LancasterBHoney

March 15, 2022 at 8:50 amDesign maybe what catches your eye to try something new. The scent is what completes the whole picture.

March 15, 2022 at 8:38 amWhile the scent is ultimately what matters a beautiful bottle bottle will motivate me to look into a fragrance. I might not have otherwise. @CupcakeDawnie

March 15, 2022 at 8:24 amIf the bottle design is stunning, it does make the fragrance more appealing before I try the scent, but the scent is what will ultimately make me purchase the product.

March 15, 2022 at 8:08 amBottle design is more aesthetic and nice to look at but it all comes down to the scent. Following on IG @jillmacaulay8883

March 15, 2022 at 7:25 amIt is always the fragrance itself but if the container is beautiful it can enhance the journey @madlc
